My path into the online Disney fan community was through podcasts. Shows like WDW Today, Mighty Men of Mouse, and even WDW Radio changed the way I followed Disney World news and planned my Disney World vacations. Since one of my goals with Rope Drop [dot] Net is to point people to other Disney World information resources, it seemed appropriate for me to put together a list of Disney World podcasts to help other people take the same Disney-fandom journey that I did.

The list below has been compiled with the help of Rope Drop [dot] net readers, and contains the show title (with a link to the show’s homepage) and any description made available on that page or the show’s iTunes listing. In other words, the descriptions are those of the show’s creators, not mine or Elyssa’s.

With all that out of the way, here is the current list of known Disney-World podcasts:

  • Be our Guest – The Be Our Guest Podcast is fun, Disney-related podcast, which features three episodes a week. Monday is a Trip report show, featuring our great listeners.   • Behind the Magic – Behind The Magic is a daily show that is about all things Disney. Each week we have a special guest from the Disney community from former Walt Disney World or Disneyland cast members, Authors, podcasters, bloggers, and more. Other guests just stop by too.   • The Light Em and Hide Podcast – A theme park podcast about both Disney World and Universal Studios Florida from the perspective of a father of two and a life long theme park fan. Mostly positive with occasional rants if mixed with cocktails. [ iTunes ]
  • Mad Hatter Chatter – Mad Hatter Chatter is hosted by two girls and their dad. Avery, Austin, and Richard cut up and create some Disney chatter in a Mad Tea Party like setting. [ iTunes ]
  • Magic Our Way– Not another Disney podcast?!?!? YES!!! But from a different point of view. Sure, everyone says that. But give us a listen and we may surprise you. Danny and Kevin explore various aspects of the ever-growing Disney Universe from an artist’s point of view. We are also fans of the current podcasts that have established themselves in the Disney community and we hope to contribute alongside the well-established podcasters. We are a New Orleans based Disney fan podcast. Danny is a visual artist and Kevin is a performing artist.
