Mando and Grogu Coming to the Millennium Falcon in Disney Parks

Speaking of things coming to Hollywood Studios, at South-by-Southwest, Disney announced it was re-doing the Millennium Falcon ride to feature Mando and Grogu.

Having the Hondo-centric film was always a weird choice and I am glad Disney is using the filming of the Mandalorian and Grogu movie as a way to fix that. Setting the attraction update to open the same day as the movie is also a great move.

Tech YouTuber Cleo Abram Behind the Scenes at Imagineering

One of my favorite tech Youtubers, Cleo Abram, recently posted a video about her behind the scenes visit to Disney Imagineer’s Research and Development lab.

It’s a must watch for anyone who is interested in how some really cool Disney Parks technology works. For example, it starts with an explainer on the BDX droids previously seen at Disneyland and coming soon to Disney World’s Hollywood Studios.

For me, my favorite part was seeing how the “real” lightsaber used on the Galatic Starcruiser was developed and works. (I am so jealous Cleo got to actually hold this–and, man, do I wish the Starcruiser was still a thing.)
